Smok Mag Kit Review

Smok Mag Kit Review: Locked, Loaded, And Ready To Vape

Smok has released their newest flagship product for 2018; the Smok Mag 225W Kit. This bad boy looks good, feels good, and vapes good. With a pistol grip feel and actual grip to match, the Mag sits in your hand perfectly and looks good while doing it. Topped with the TFV12 Prince, you’ll be putting out substantial cloud production (if you want to) and tasting your eLiquids like few setups on the market can match. Best of all, it can be purchased for a reasonable price!

On to the Smok Mag Kit Review.

SMOK Mag 225W Kit

The Smok Mag Mod can output 225W of power. This is enough to max out just about any coil on the market. With its new chipset, you will get a really smooth vaping experience and a ton of customization options. It can be run in 3 different modes; VW mode, TC mode, and memory mode. Your needs will dictate which mode you choose. I personally usually leave mine in VW mode unless I am running a custom coil.

The firing mechanism on this is really unique. The mod fits in your hand nicely and the button is right where you finger will be (at least for me). I love the way it feels in your hand; weightly, but not too heavy.

The screen is HD and looks fantastic. It really pops and going through the menus is a breeze.

The TFV12 Prince tank that is included can hold up to 8 mL of eLiquid (standard edition) and has a good selection of prebuilt coils to choose from. If you are a bit more advanced of a user, you can run your own builds to the RBA deck (sold separately). With a large capacity, most users will be able to vape all day on the same tank fill without having to juice up. If you like to switch flavors often, it is easy to just add the amount you want through the top fill and switch it up as you go. I personally don’t mind mixing flavors, so this works just fine for me.

Another cool feature is the magazine style battery compartment. It is ejected in basically the same way a magazine is ejected from a firearm. This may seem gimmicky, but I have actually found it to be a really useful feature when compared to most bottom loaded, fixed battery compartments. Rather than flipping the entire setup over and potentially spilling juice everywhere, you eject the battery ‘magazine,’ insert the batteries, and reload. Easy and convenient!
